Follow Luke on Twitter ... And OU Daily
It's Thursday before spring break (which in the newsroom is like a Friday, due to the fact we don't work the next day) and I'm ready to go.
"Ready to go where," you ask. I respond, "I don't know."
I'm not sure where I want to go on break or what I want to do. There are so many possibilities, but only so many days and dollars.
Since the Internet is truth, I searched around for some ideas. With the recent appeal of SNL's "I'm On A Boat," I've really been looking into an adventure at sea. You see, I've got my swim trunks and my flippy floppies. I've even got my nautical-themed afghan. I just never thought I'd see the day when a big boat was coming my way on that big, blue watery road. This all sounds super exciting, but then I heard about a guy who had to wrestle a 12 ft. shark to save his buddy and I'm not OK with that.
Scratch sea adventure. Sorry, Poseidon.
I've got to find something to do. I'm not settling for another "stay"cation. Maybe I can have an emergency Christmas.
Anyway, whatever it is you do this break, have fun, be safe and remember your friend, Luke. He's probably going to be at home deciding what to do for break.
