Daniel Chargois, mechanical engineering senior, remembers the entire stadium screaming as SoonerVision broadcast the first kick-off of the OU football season. “I love going to the first game of the season,” Chargois says. Chargois also remembers he loved the dorms as a freshman. He loved the fact that there was always someone to meet and something to do. That’s why Chargois is a Resident Adviser.

Opening night and it’s a full house. Backstage dancers stretch before the performance. Allison Rixey is nervous as she finishes her make-up. On this night, she’s performing as the Dew Drop Fairy in the Classen School of Advanced Studies’ performance of The Nutcracker. “Everything that I learned since I’ve come to OU and gained from my education all came together in that performance,” says Rixey, ballet performance and pre-med senior. “It was the performance of a lifetime.”

Family is important to most students. Moments spent at family gatherings, birthday parties and picnics are treasured by Dominique Pittenger, but her family has a little something else that keeps them together. Sooner born and Sooner bred, university tradition runs through her veins. Following family tradition, Pittenger and her brother graduated from OU on the same day.
